Understandable 3.2 Predictable

Make web pages appear and operate in predictable ways.

Examples

Global elements such as the header, navigation, and footer are the same on each page.
Navigation links are the same on every page and always in the same order.
Use consistent language when labeling things.

Depending on which level of compliance your website needs, the following criteria needs to be met.
Criterion	Level	Description
3.2.1	A	When a component receives focus, the context of the content does not change.
3.2.2	A	Changing a component’s settings does not change the context of the content unless the user is notified of the change.
3.2.3	AA	Any navigation that is repeated on multiple pages is consistent.
3.2.4	AA	Components that have the same function are consistent across the website.
3.2.5	AAA	Changes in context of the content only happens when the user requests it.
